The 2nd International Day of Anagrams (IDA) will be arranged on May 15th 2025, on the internet blog ŠMEK (chessandpuzzles.blogspot.com). The chosen day for IDA is the birthday of Larry Brash (1948-2017), Australian psychiatrist who was the co-founder of the excellent Anagrammy Awards, website for true fans of anagrams.
The organizer of this event is Serbian journalist and writer Zoran Radisavljević, winner of many international competitions for the puzzlers (including 13 times at the Serbian Open Championship for Anagrammers).
The task for the competitors is to arrange anagram with this solution:
THE SINGER, SONGWRITER AND ACTRESS ALANIS MORISSETTE
You can send your anagrams until 10th May, on e-mail: zradisavljevic@yahoo.com. The results will be published on this blog. During IDA, blog will also host at least one competition in anagram solving.
Beside that, the host of the blog will prepare a Challenge Contest, which will start on 14th May, at 23:59 CET. Competitors will have 24 hours to create the best anagram in English language from offered letters. There will be money prizes for the winners of competitions. Other prizes will be interesting puzzle books and excellent T-shirts.
