Both solving contests on English language contained very
nice anagrams. Unfortunatelly, we had small number of competitors. Most of the
puzzlers were probably busy for such mental activities, but it’s a pity that
some potential solvers don’t want to try something unknown to them. The authors
of anagrams surely deserved more support for their effort to prepare quality
puzzles.
Both winners (David Bourke and Nenad Savić) had
15/20 solutions, which is solid result for this type of tournament. Congrats to
David and Nenad, for the prize they will receive excellent T-shirts and beautiful book "Ars Magna" (with anagrams about masterpieces of art). Thanks to the all participants.
Solving Contest 1: David Bourke (UK) 15 solutions, Nenad Savić (Serbia) 10, Robert Smith (Canada) 6, Mensur Mamuti (North Macedonia), Aronas Pinchas (Israel) 2.
Nenad actually solved 10/10, because he was author of other ten anagrams on this
tournament.
Solving Contest 2: Nenad Savić (Serbia) 15 solutions, Robert Smith (Canada) 7, Mensur
Mamuti (North Macedonia) 3, Amir Begović (USA) 2.
